Forest Overture

In "Forest Overture," I tried to make the light coming through the aspen foliage look like it was "dancing" through with a rhythm. Hope I succeeded! To do this, I kept glazing and glazing, trying to isolate the light foliage into a pattern I liked. This is dangerous, because a watercolor is very easy to overwork. Then, everybody can tell it's overworked! This was a fun one to paint, and it's location is Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado. The price includes a beautiful frame; however, it may be sold without a frame, matted only.

I'm so excited and proud that "Forest Overture" was selected for the National Watercolor Society 2021 Exhibit out of 950 paintings submitted! It was also chosen by judge, Brienne Brown, for the Juror's 15% Favorites in the February, 2022, painting competition.

The price includes a beautiful frame, but may also be sold unframed and matted only.
