Silent Passage

I took a photo of this scene last March in my favorite Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. It was not late day then, but I changed the time of day in my painting so that I could utilize a more complimentary color scheme and introduce some yellow oranges with the blue violet of the snow. It was really fun to paint and to try to get the atmospheric effect of the sunset on the distant trees. I love doing that!

The price includes a beautiful frame, but may also be sold unframed as a standard size 12x16 canvas to fit a readymade frame.
