Setting Sail

"Setting Sail" was so much fun to paint! In my watercolor class, we studied Winslow Homer's watercolors and tried to duplicate his beautiful colors of his water in some of his Bahamas paintings. I painted this, however, from a photo I took in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, but tried to use his colors for the water in my demonstration for my class. It was challenging and fun. The distant sailboat was from a photo I took at White Rock Lake in Dallas years ago when I painted there every week with a friend. 

The price includes a beautiful 16x20 frame, but it may be sold unframed, also.
