Elk on the golf course!

Anyone who has ever played golf on the beautiful course in Estes Park, Colorado, has probably witnessed playing golf among the elk.

I caught this beautiful male taking a rest from chasing the women last September. We had to pass right by him on his hill (you might call him King of the Hill) in our golf cart!

I am proudly displaying him until October 1st at the Estes Park Golf Course, where I will donate 30% of the sale to their Junior Golf Program. You might just need this elk!

The plein air event has begun in Estes Park, Colorado!

If you are in the area, don't miss the Quick Paint tomorrow - Saturday from 8:30 until 12 p.m. Artists begin painting at 8:30 and have until 10:00 to finish, then all paintings are auctioned off to the highest bidder.

Plein Air Artists Colorado 25th Annual National Show

I'm super excited about two of my plein air watercolors (above) being juried into this annual exhibit. All entries must have been painted plein air, and an artist may have a maximum of two accepted.

This year's show is held at Mary Williams Fine Arts in Boulder, Colorado, from November 10th through December 31st, with Opening Reception November 10th from 5-8 p.m. Well known artist, Skip Whitcomb, is this year's judge.

"Best of America"

What a name for a show! This annual exhibit by the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society is getting more and more difficult to be accepted into, and that's what makes me really honored to have "Evening Silence" in the show. It will be held at Wilcox Gallery in Jackson, Wyoming, from September 8th through October 8th. Opening Reception September 16th from 5-8 p.m.

Thank you so much for reading my newsletter and sharing my excitement about paintings, shows and events. It always means a lot to have all of you in there behind me and makes my endeavors very worthwhile. You can always find more details on my website about shows, demonstrations and workshops.

Have a GREAT rest of the summer!

Warm regards,

Cecy
