Summertime Flowers
One of the highlights of summer is all the flowers blooming! In light of this, I've chosen a special little rose to offer at a very special price to my newsletter readers. "Rosy Dreams," the 8x10 watercolor below, is matted in a standard size 11x14 and includes shipping, all for only $125. This size is normally $195 matted! It would make a perfect birthday, thank you, anniversary, or any other gift for someone or for yourself!

Email me if you would like to own "Rosy Dreams" below.

Here are more summertime flowers I've been working on:

"Graceful Emergence"

"Columbine Parade"

"Yellow Rose Study"

"Rose Study"

As you can see, I've been painting a lot of flowers this summer! "Graceful Emergence," 14 x 11 oil, was painted from photos of irises in my yard. "Columbine Parade," 10x8 Oil, was painted plein air (on location) in Rocky Mountain National Park near Lily Lake. I'll have the other two I did on my website soon. "Yellow Rose Study" (10.5 x 7) and "Rose Study" (8 x 11) both are small watercolors I did from photos I took of my roses in my back yard in Dallas. "Backyard Roses" (scroll down) was painted plein air in my back yard.

Workshops Coming Up:

I'm super excited about this one-day workshop coming up soon:

Estes Park, CO: Watercolor abstract designs with 3 water-soluble value pencils and translating them into small, sketchbook-sized realistic watercolor paintings. I will show my method for doing small, quick watercolor sketches without wasting precious time on non-essential details. See complete description here.
