"View from Above on Glacier Gorge Trail"

This was not what I started out to paint on this particular day. I was at Sprague Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park and took a little trail I've been on before to paint the river and tiny waterfall. Well, it didn't work out (I wiped it off) and I looked down and decided to paint looking down on the rocks from my perspective. It was fun to kind of make an abstract design out of it and to figure out how to make the water look like it was running around the rocks.
