"Trailside Beauty "

Watercolor

I painted this from a photo I took of a sunflower growing on a trail near Lily Lake in Estes Park, CO. After painting it, I sprayed it with six coats of protective varnishes so that it doesn't require matting or being under glass. It's in a beautiful black and gold "oil painting frame." I did this as a demonstration for my students in the watercolor class I teach.
