I painted this in Rocky Mountain National Park one morning this summer with the Estes Park Plein Air Painters group. The cloud would not move over Long's Peak, so I just included it. I tried to group the trees and the little flowers to lead the eye back to the mountains in a zig-zag pattern. Long's Peak looks quite different here than it did in May (see "Nearing Winter at Long's Peak")
