"Still Life with Yellow Roses and Sugar Bowl"

My husband gave me these beautiful yellow roses, and I almost immediately set out to paint them. The sugar bowl came from an antique shop in Fredericksburg, Texas. The background is actually a very dark blue and there are also some very dark leaves behind the lemon slice, but it is difficult to tell from the photograph of it.
