"Staney Park Sunbather"

This is a painting I did from a photo I took while on a walk down by the ocean at beautiful Stanley Park in Vancouver, B.C. I loved the pattern the rocks made, and this little gull looked like he was sunbathing on his rock! I used a limited palette on this painting - one red, one yellow and one blue - which I think tied the colors together and gave the painting a lot of unity.
