"Silver Light - Big Thompson"

Plein Air Oil on Linen Panel

One of my favorite places to paint is on Bear Lake Road in Rocky Mtn. National Park just past Moraine Park. It's safe, close to the road, shady - what more could one ask? I can always come here to paint if nothing else "jumps out at me" that day because it is always beautiful in the morning light. Again, the challenge is not to paint all the rocks and to try to mass them. Also, the trees! This took two mornings to paint because of its size. I'm not very fast.
