I painted this from a 6x8 study I did on location at Sheep Mountain, overlooking Trout Lake, near Telluride, CO. As I was doing the study, it started showing heavily on Sheep Mountain (snowing on right top part of painting) and I had to give up when the study was nearly completed. It was a beautiful sight!
