"Rushing River"

I painted this in Moraine Park in Rocky Mountain National Park this summer. I sat down to paint (usually I stand) so that I could get my eye level closer to the river, kind of like I was in the river. It was around 2:00 p.m. and there was beautiful afternoon light.
