"Palo Duro Canyon"

I painted this from one of the many photographs I took at beautiful Palo Duro Canyon (in West Texas) while I was there to teach a plein air watercolor workshop last June. I think I liked it best in the late afternoon when the shadows got longer. I was usually painting there until dark every day! It was also a little cooler then.
