"Nearing Day's End" The interesting thing about this painting is that I painted the whole thing in my car! It took two days of going back at the same time because the light changed on me so fast (and, I'm a slow painter) and both days it was SO windy that I refused to battle the wind, have my tripod blow over, etc. So, the logical solution was to get in the passenger seat and spread a plastic tablecloth over me and the car seat and hope for the best! My friends were out there with everything blowing over, but I was very happy in my car. I guess this can still be called a plein air painting. By the way, it's Palo Duro Canyon, again, from an Outdoor Painters Society trip in November.
