"Late Afternoon on Green Gulch Road"

I painted this on location in Big Bend National Park in February on an Outdoor Painters Society trip. Green Gulch Road was the only place with shade to paint in on the whole trip, and we had two 103-degree days (IN FEBRUARY)! This is the same spot that I painted "Last Light on Green Gulch Road" from, but I painted that one from a photograph I took and it was a little later toward sunset than this was. I love painting in this location, and it was very challenging, to say the least!
