"Last Light on Green Gulch Road"

This is a scene in Big Bend National Park on the road to Chisos Basin as the last rays of sun were hitting the rocks just before sunset. Some friends and I were painting the scene directly across the road from this when I turned around and saw it. I grabbed my camera pretty fast! This painting was chosen for the 2008 Salon International at Greenhouse Gallery in San Antonio, Texas.
