"Graceful Elegance" Oil on Linen Canvas I painted this from life and didn't have to worry about any flowers dying on me! This started out to be a celadon vase, but ended up more of a turquoise blue because I was told the painting needed more "punch" by the leader of my critique group and mentor, Andrew Wages. I believe the leaves are called lunaria and they don't die! Their function was to lead you back to the vase and to disappear into the background.
