"First Glimpse of Fall at Endovalley"

I painted this just as the leaves were starting to turn in Endovalley in Rocky Mountain National Park in late September. I liked the way the logs zig-zagged around the foreground and the distant hazy, backlit mountain in the distance. I will never forget doing this painting because I got bitten by several deer flies while I was painting it.
