"Evening Transition at Big Bend"

I painted this at sunset with my friend, Christy Kidwell, in Big Bend National Park. We were there with the Outdoor Painters Society and chose to miss a party to paint the sunset! We got there early, thank goodness, to get the foreground in, or I never could have finished this. It didn't last very long!
