I painted this from a photo I took in Arizona of backlit aspens, then took artistic liberty and made it into a snow scene and changed the colors of the foliage! This was really fun to paint, and I didn't "mask out" any of the trees; I painted around them all. It is painted on Arches 300 lb. paper.
