"Copeland Lake" Plein Air Oil on linen on panel I was on my way to paint Copeland Falls in Rocky Mountain National Park and was stopped by the view of this little lake with the mountains behind, so I just stopped to paint it. While I was painting it, a chipmunk crawled into my backpack looking for something to eat! When you paint something on location, you can always remember everything about those hours, unlike just stopping to take a photo.
