Plein Air Watercolor

This painting should actually be in my Plein Air section, but I decided to put it under Architectural instead. The man was sitting there, but he moved before I could get him in the painting, so I did most of him later, and even had to redo him. This was a beautiful church I found in Mexico City on a recent trip there. I painted in this location two days in a row because there was a nice, safe, uncrowded and shady courtyard with plenty of places to sit. All of you plein air painters know that those are all good requirements, besides perfect weather. This was painted on Arches 300 lb. paper, and the shadows coming from a nearby tree attracted me to the scene in the first place, so I got them in early before any other detail was done.
