This painting was done from several different photographs I took in Big Bend National Park. I thought that the cactus would be nice as part of a total scene that was so typical of Big Bend. The story about my camera strap dragging against the cactus needles (withoutmy knowing it) while I was taking close-up photos will come another time! The hazards of being an artist...
