I started not to go this day to paint with the Estes Park Plein Air group, because it was threatening rain. Since Lily Lake is only five minutes from home, I decided to go try to do a small one, and I'm glad I did. When I got there, I had a chance to paint this low-hanging cloud over the mountain, and it was so much fun. It was harder than it looked! I liked the contrast of the clear skies to the right. I finished just as the first drops fell.
