"A Glimpse of Fall at Twin Sisters Trailhead" This is one of my favorite places to paint aspens as they start turning in the fall. It is across from Lily Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. I tried to make the smallest aspen the center of interest, because it had the brightest and most interesting shape of leaves. I love to paint backlighting, and most of my aspens are that way now! I can add more colors on the trunks that way. Plein Air Oil on Masonite Image Size 9 x 12 Available at Weiler House Fine Art Ft. Worth, TX © Copyright 2012 Cecy Turner
